Fresh Lettuce

I was so glad that Mom got fresh lettuce out of the fridge today. It has been several days since fresh lettuce was out. In fact, I was so famished for it that I tried to eat off the dinner plate. The kids caught me, and wouldn't let me have it. Sigh. Later though, after tucking everyone into bed, Mom shared a piece of lettuce with me as I sat in her chair. I got to eat it right from her hand. What a treat!

Fresh Air From an Open Door

I have had a glorious morning. The door blew itself open again, and I got to stand guard. I of course had to go out on the porch to do so. I was very good though.. I sat just outside the door. It was wonderful to feel the sunshine and the chill of the fresh air. Much better than sitting in the open window! I was very glad that I noticed the door being open.. and I enjoyed talking with my friends that live outside too. What a wonderful day!

Gerbil Watching

I was thoroughly enjoying myself today. I spent a large portion of the day playing hide and seek with our gerbil, Midnight. She and I have become really good friends, and we paw at each other through her cage bars. Reminder to self.. don't put your back to the gerbil when you are that close to cage! I got her back though.. I did a sneak attack on her when she was chewing on a box at the edge of the cage. She jumped! Of course, that might have been because I slid in to the cage, since the rest of her reaction was to sit there and shake her head in disgust. She didn't even have the decency to pretend to hide from me! Ah well.. I love having such a good friend!

A Clean Box Please!

I was starting to think of using the floor to get their attention! My boys FINALLY cleaned my box! I really like my litter box when it is clean. I have a Booda Dome Litter Box. The color could use a bit of improving.. it is a bit dull. Overall, it is a great litter box. I love that it has steps to get into the litter, instead of having to climb over the side. I have had this box since I was a kitten, and it was so easy to climb into even then! I normally don't like covered places, but I think this is an exception. I mean do YOU really want someone staring at YOU when you are on the toilet?!

Sneak Attack

The huntress peers from the shadows, eying the door.. waiting patiently for her chance. Quickly she dives through the open space, pries open the cabinet door and slips into the darkness. Only with careful observation would one notice the door slightly ajar, the glowing eyes in the dark space... Suddenly the cabinet door bangs open and the huntress leaps from the dark cavity to sequester her prey. Once again the food dish has been defeated! Oh man.. it's empty! Hey!.. Hey furless creatures.. would you put something in my bowl!

I Want to Play!

There is nothing more disturbing than when your family is busy to play! I even tried sitting in Mom's chair every time she got up today.. still nothing. Okay, not nothing, plenty of getting petted and hugs. But no one would pick up my feather toy and PLAY with me! and then to top it off, the left the house, and all I could do was watch them out the window as they walked away down the block. Maybe I will take a cat nap in one of these. I love my cat tree.. might just have to get one for every room in the house!

Chilly Days Need Heated Cat Beds!

The day may have started with beautiful sunshine streaming in the windows, but the wind has pushed those clouds in to cover the sky. That is just a bad combination. How is a kitty supposed to find a warm sunny spot on a day like this?! I have been purrrrrusing online looking for a solution, and I think I may have found something you will like as much as I do. Check out this heated cat bed! I really like this one because it is open. I hate having to crawl into a closed container.. do you really think I am going to feel safe enough to sleep if I can't SEE what is coming?! So this cat bed is open, heated, and a decent price.. I am going to go curl up for a nap in a warm bed now. Purrrrrrr
